"Between the Worlds Sound Journey"
Between the Worlds is a mainstage-scale sound experience that merges primal rhythm, atmospheric voice, deep didgeridoo, and field recordings into an unforgettable experience capable of moving hundreds at once. The journey shifts from rhythmic, driving percussion to vast, cinematic stillness — creating an emotional arc that crowds don’t just hear, but enter. This is not another set. It is a moment of transformation inside the Gathering. A space where audiences reconnect with themselves and with the wild world beneath the noise — guided, subtly, by the myth of the Wandering Forest Spirit who moves between realms and stirs ancient memory. Raw, powerful, and unlike anything else on the global circuit, Between the Worlds is designed to make a field of people go quiet, breathe together, and drop into something older than language. A new kind of mainstage experience — ceremonial, cinematic, and electrifying. Bio: Sika is a sound artist based in New Zealand, dedicated to creating music and paintings that enhance our spiritual relationship with nature. He has toured internationally since 1993, offering Sound Journeys and concerts. The didgeridoo forms an important foundation for his music, however he also uses drums, native flutes, voice and natural instruments. Giving voice to wood, skin, bone, stone and shell, his work reflects a lifetime of listening to the rhythms of nature. Other sources of sound such as water, fire, trees, animals and wind are used with the intention to build soundscapes that enable us to leave time. After years of gathering and making instruments, Sika has recorded fourteen solo albums. |

Duration: 1-2 hours
This Workshop is for: All Shamanic abilities and experiences.
What to Bring to the Workshop: In most cases you should bring along a blanket, plus your own yoga or sleeping mat to lie on. It's good to wear layered clothing, so you can get your temperature right. This said, the less fabric the better, as it absorbs the vibration of the sound. Ideally, avoid crinkly, synthetic fabrics too, as these tend to be a bit noisy. Eye masks are totally optional. And remember, while most people choose to lie down, chairs are usually available too. It's your journey, so if you feel an urge to move or stand up, go for it! Just be considerate.
More about Sika's playing: Sika’s sound journeys are a shamanic style of sound bath. Like most gong baths and sound baths, people lie down and relax to beautiful sounds. But the sound journey really is a ‘journey’. The instruments guide you wordlessly into powerful inner states. Some people perceive visions, colours and memories. Others gain clarity and new ideas. Many set an intention or ask for guidance. It is a deeply personal experience and your experience will vary each time. A sound journey can be a natural next step for people who already go to sound baths and wish to deepen their experience beyond relaxation.
