BOOKING
Q: I'm not 'techie'. Is there another way I can book/apply that's not online?
Yes, there are 4 ways to book. You are welcome to use whichever method suits you best:
Q: I want to take advantage of the Early Bird price, but I'm also applying to host a workshop. How do I fill out the booking form and make first payment before knowing if my workshop application is successful and my registration fee is cheaper?
When you fill out the form, select 'Early Bird' and make your first payment of £225.00. If your workshop application is successful (and therefore your workshop registration fee is reduced to £50 only), we will email you with details of your new total and the remaining amount you owe.

ATTENDING the GATHERING
Q: Is the Gathering just for people trained in Shamanic practices?
Not at all! All spiritual paths are welcome. While the Gathering centers on Shamanism and its re-emergence in the UK and beyond, we recognize that many people are exploring the greater Universal energy in diverse ways. Shamanism is the fastest-growing spiritual practice in England and Wales, and one of the joys of the Gathering is celebrating the beautifully blended and interconnected paths people walk. So, while our focus is on Shamanism, we also warmly welcome those reconnecting with the 'Old Ways' in their own unique contexts.
Q: If I'm coming in and out each day (staying near by) can I bring my own food?
Day visitors to the shamanic gathering are kindly asked not to bring their own food. To maintain the communal spirit and shared experience of the event, all attendees - including those who are staying off site, are required to contribute the £150 fee for all food and hot drinks. This ensures everyone is physically and spiritually nourished together in unity and respect for the sacred space we’re creating.
Q: I'm quite new to Shamanism. Does that matter?
The Gathering is open to all - both experienced and new to Shamanism. If you’re new to shamanism, attending the Gathering is a wonderful way to explore and deepen your understanding in a welcoming community. The Gathering will offer workshops designed for a range of abilities, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners, so you can start at a level that feels right for you. You'll have the opportunity to learn some foundational practices, connect with experienced teachers, and engage in ceremonies that foster personal growth and connection with Spirit. Most importantly, you’ll be surrounded by like-minded individuals who can support and guide you on your journey.
Q: I will be attending on my own. Are there others like me?
Yes! Many people attend on their own, and you’ll find a warm and welcoming community. We’re a friendly group, but there’s no pressure to interact, if you prefer a more introspective experience. Whether you’re outgoing or more contemplative, you are absolutely welcome just as you are. And if you do come solo, you may soon discover that you’re among friends you just haven’t met yet!
Q: Do I have to attend the whole Gathering?
Yes, we ask that attendees commit to the full event rather than just a few days. Maintaining the collective energy throughout the gathering creates a unique and powerful atmosphere that enhances the experience for everyone.
Q: Why can't I attend just for one day?
There are 3 reasons why we want people to come for the whole Gathering.
Q: I get tired and need to rest. Do I have to attend the evening ceremonies?
Attending ceremonies is entirely optional. While at the Gathering, you have the freedom to spend your time as you choose, whether that's resting by the fire, chatting with others, or retreating to your room. It’s important to remember that deep Spiritual work can be tiring, and reflecting on where that fatigue comes from is a valuable practice in itself. Sometimes, attending a ceremony may be exactly what you need. Evening ceremonies are often particularly powerful, so if you’re unsure about joining a particular ceremony, you may find it helpful to speak with the teacher leading the ceremony, earlier in the day.
Q: Can I bring my camper van?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring your camper van. However, space in the camping area is limited, so please let us know when you book to ensure we can confirm and allocate a spot for you.
Q: Am I allowed to bring my dog? No, our venue does not allow dogs or any pets.
Q: What should I bring to the Gathering? We recommend wellies or hiking boots for outdoor adventures, and flip-flops, indoor shoes, or bare feet for indoors - some of us even go barefoot the whole time! 😊 The weather can be unpredictable, so pack clothes for both indoor and outdoor activities. Layers are your best friend. Don’t forget the essentials: a towel, toiletries, hairbrush, any personal medication, and anything else you use daily. Workshop details will be shared closer to the time. Teachers will let you know if you need anything specific for their sessions, but in general, bring a journal and pen - you’ll want them! Optional extras like a blindfold or blanket can be great for journeying or deep relaxation.

Q: Why can't I attend just for one day?
There are 3 reasons why we want people to come for the whole Gathering.
- Ceremonial Integrity - the energy of the Gathering builds over multiple days and that collective energy is really valuable. Leaving early or arriving late disrupts the flow of what we are trying to create. Maintaining that collective flow is something we prioritize.
- Community and Safety - the time we spend together is built on trust within the community, and everyone plays a role in creating, holding, and maintaining that energy. We all co-create the Gathering, and coming and going at separate times disrupts the flow of that energy. Many of the teachings and practices we engage in are deep, and frequent changes in who's present at the Gathering, can affect how someone receives them. Since we are in community, this impact can ripple out to others as well. It’s important to us that everyone is supported. Staying for the entire duration allows the team to guide everyone through the collective journey - from the world outside to our sacred time, and back again.
- Honouring the Teachings and the Ritual - the teachings at the Gathering are built on a sense of wholeness. Arriving or leaving at random times can align more with the modern world of convenience, where everything is just another task to fit into a busy schedule. We value sacred space, full commitment to spiritual practice, and the discipline that comes with it. By dedicating time to the Gathering and being fully present, we honor the teachings, allowing us to engage in the deep work that’s truly transformative.

TEACHERS and WORKSHOPS
Q: Do teachers get paid and do we have to pay for workshops?
Teachers at the Gathering receive a substantial discount on workshop registration. Instead of paying the Early Bird rate of £225 or the Mainstream rate of £275, teachers only pay £50. This gives them a savings of £175 (Early Bird) or £225 (Mainstream), while still enjoying access to a wide range of workshops and experienced teachers.
Q: When will the teachers and workshops be announced?
On 20 April, we announced the first group of our amazing teachers, with more to come soon! You can meet them in the News section of our website, or on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Also, make sure you're subscribed to our mailing list so you don’t miss any updates!
Q: When can I select the workshops I want to attend?
When you arrive at the Gathering and register, you'll receive a program with details of all the workshops. Once you've settled into your room, you can sign up for the ones that interest you. Some workshops have limited spaces, so it's best to sign up early. We kindly ask that you respect the workshop limits set by our teachers and only enroll in sessions that have available space.
